The triathlon for Scarborough Boys and Girls Club was such a great event for children in our community! Our Toronto TELUS team demonstrated strong spirited teamwork throughout the day and felt honoured to be invited to help run the event. We were extremely lucky to have both Rob Durham, SVP of Client Operations and Rita Burak, Chair of the TELUS Toronto Community Board in attendance. We’re now thinking of how we can help make it bigger and better next year!” (Scarbourgh Boys and Girls Club)

Everybody was working hard and they all had smiles on their faces. This must be the effect of giving back to our community. (Humber Flats EcoPark)

A big thank you goes out to all the enthusiastic team members and their friends and families who came out to help clean up E.T. Seton park. The event was a great success as over 300 trees were planted and countless bags of garbage were removed from the walking and biking trails of the park helping restore the park’s natural beauty. (Seton Park)

The activity was very successful. We all had a great time and the site coordinators were very pleased with everything we accomplished.
It’s such a wonderful feeling that we’re able to give back to our community and make a difference through participating in these type of events.
I’m looking forward to TELUS Day of Service in 2009. (Coledale YMCA)

Councillor John Parker and the Natural Environment and Community Programs section of the City of Toronto would like to sincerely thank all the TELUS staff who attended our event at E.T. Seton Park on Saturday May 31. The event was a great success! Telus volunteers, along with other community members planted 250 trees and picked up an 6100 lbs of garbage from the ravine.
We were impressed by the enthusiastic turn out and the hard work put in by the Telus volunteers. You made a big difference to the park and to the community that it serves. Your demonstration of commitment is very much appreciated.

I would like to thank the very kind staff of TELUS for all their help on Saturday, May 31st, 2008 for the Telus Day of Service.
We at Coledale YMCA Child Care Centre had a fantastic time. We met new people and together we managed to beautify the grounds at the YMCA as well as Coledale Public School.
Your volunteers weeded, washed, oiled, dug, planted, cleaned windows, and laid grass in a way that we would never have been able to do by ourselves.
We are so grateful. What teamwork! Please feel free to visit or volunteer again.
