Almost 1100 TELUS team members, alumni, family and friends volunteered over 3000 hours in the AB South Central (Calgary/Red Deer) region. As a result:
- 6500 ribbons were tied for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation's Tour for the Cure
- 75 garbage bags of weeds were removed from the Fish Creek Provincial Park
- 13,154 kilos was sorted and packed for the Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank

I volunteered with MEOW foundation to support a charity that facilitates the adoption of stray animals in to new loving homes. The purpose of our efforts was explained thoroughly, which enabled us to immediately understand what our impacts would be. The MEOW foundations book sale raised $19,000.00 for them last year, so to know that they receive such a substantial amount of money, assembling these boxes to assist them felt very important to us. I had a great morning volunteering and meeting some great people who were there because they truly care about the wellness of the animals! (MEOW Foundation)

I really enjoyed helping out at the MEOW Foundation. I have always had cats in my life and I think they are special creatures. They teach us to give without expecting anything back, but also give love unexpectedly, often when we are busy doing something we think is important. The Food Bank thanks TELUS for their excellent efforts. The TELUS donation itself of $15,000 will go to supply families with $60,000 worth of retail priced food.

On behalf of the Medicine Hat Women's Shelter Society, I would like to personally thank you and your team of volunteers who gave of their day on a cold rainy Saturday to clean up and make Musasa House a nicer place for our families to live.
Our families have left everything behind and are making a new start at Musasa House. It is so important for them to have a home to feel proud of. Seeing your volunteers working so hard for them that day made our residents feel special and deserving - something they have been missing for a long time.
